Sept 2005-Jan 2005              Assistant Prof., Kurdestan University, Kurdestan, Iran

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

Associate Professor                                                                                                2012 until now

“Synthesis and characterization of new polymer nanocomposite”

“Synthesis of Polymer Electrolyte Membrane for Fuel Cell Applications”

Assistant Professor                                                                                                 2005 -2012

“Synthesis and Metalation of Novel Azo Containing  Macrocycles “

Synthesis of Azo Containing Macrocycles based on Schiff base condensation will lead to materials with interesting properties.

Ph.D. student under supervision of Prof. A. Banihashemi                                      2000-2005

Title of the thesis:

“Synthesis and Characterization of Some New Thermally Stable Polymers Containing Benzophenone, Triphenyl phosphine oxide and Urea Moietes”

Thermal stability is primarily a function of bond energy. When the temperature increases to the point where vibrational energy causes bond rupture, the polymer degrades. In the case of cyclic repeating unites, breaking of one bond in a ring doesn't lead to a decrease in molecular weight and especially mechanical properties. Because of the rigid backbone structure, aromatic polymer characteristically exhibit very high glasstransition temperature, high melt viscosities and low solubility and are therefore more intractable than other kind of polymer.

Visiting Scientist (Prof. M.J. MacLachlan Laboratory)                                            2004-2005

“Synthesis and Metalation of Novel Fluorescent Conjugated Macrocycles “

The formation of supramolecular materials based on Schiff base condensation will lead to materials with interesting optical properties. Shape-persistent, rigid macrocycles are fascinating targets for creating new materials, including discotic liquid crystals, chemical sensors, catalysts, and fluorescent substances.

M.S. student under supervision of Prof. A. Banihashemi                                        1998-2000

Title of the thesis:

“Synthesis and Characterization of Some New Polyhydrazides”

Polymers incorporating hydrazide structures, -CONHNH-, are interesting polymers for extreme environmental applications. In fact, polyhydrazides can be transformed into heat-resistant polyoxadiazoles by simple heating. These polymers are also interesting for their high water absorption, high thermal stability, outstanding dyeability, and reducing ability.
